Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Buzzrank (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our Service. We are committed to processing data lawfully and transparently in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data — your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile basics returned by Google OAuth.
  • Public TikTok data — when you provide a TikTok username, we retrieve publicly available information about that account (profile metrics, public videos and their captions, hashtags, audio titles and engagement counts) to generate your analysis. We only access public data; we never log in to or post on your TikTok account.
  • Creator context — optional details you choose to add (your expertise, goals, posting frequency, etc.) to make recommendations more relevant.
  • Generated content — diagnostics, scores, calendars and scripts produced for your account.
  • Usage & technical data — basic logs, plan and quota usage, and authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • to provide the Service: analyse your public TikTok data and generate personalised recommendations;
  • to manage your account, plan and usage limits;
  • to maintain security, prevent abuse and debug issues;
  • to communicate with you about the Service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract — to deliver the Service you request;
  • Consent — for optional data you choose to provide (e.g. creator context) and where required;
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain and improve the Service.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase, protected by row-level security so that each user can only access their own records. Access is restricted and transmitted over encrypted connections.

5. Service Providers (Processors)

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the Service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and storage;
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis and content generation;
  • Groq — audio transcription of public videos (paid plans);
  • Apify — retrieval of public TikTok data;
  • Google — optional sign-in (OAuth);
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans;
  • Vercel — application hosting.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) apply.

6. We Never Post On Your Behalf

Buzzrank has read-only access to public TikTok data. We never publish, comment, message or take any action on your TikTok account, and we never request access to your TikTok login.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can export or permanently delete all of your data at any time from your account settings (Settings → Data). Deleting your account removes your profile, analyses, videos, creator context and related records. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • port your data to another service;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

You can exercise most of these rights directly in your account settings, or by contacting us.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to authenticate you and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, with the “Last updated” date revised above.
